Pat Palombo has conducted numerous capital campaigns, planned giving seminars, major gift prospect receptions, annual appeals and fundraising events throughout his 40 year career in fundraising. He earned his Certified Fund Raising Executive status in 1985 and is the only fundraiser to be recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Mahoning/Shenango Chapter at its National Philanthropy Day event, where he was honored as an “Outstanding Mentor.”

 

Palombo ran the successful Annual Appeal for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown for 34 years. He conducted dozens of parish capital campaigns and together with his associates never failed to surpass a campaign goal. Palombo secured endowed gifts for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown Foundation since its inception. He managed a planned giving program for the diocese and was certified as a gift planner by the National Planned Giving Institute at the College of William & Mary. 

Palombo shares his gifts as a presenter and instructor on fundraising topics including: Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Capital Campaigns and The Annual fund, for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the International Catholic Stewardship Council, The Raymond John Wean Foundation, The Ohio Catholic Education Association, the Postal Customer Council and others.

 

He served for nine years on the Board of Directors of The Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio where he chaired the Advancement Committee, lead the re-structuring of the Advancement Office and implemented a successful Development Strategic Plan.

 

Pat Palombo established a Stewardship Commission for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. He served as a presenter on Christian Stewardship for dozens of Catholic parishes and at diocesan events.

 

Palombo served as a fundraising consultant for Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia, the Catholic Diocese of Wheeling Charleston and today is the fundraising consultant for the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP).
